A number of activities are organized for the youth participants to experience the breakthrough of barriers of races and culture which will increase mutual understanding among youths from different countries.

In the program, we will invite His Excellency Dr. Kol Pheng, who is the Senior Minister to deliver the welcoming remark for the youth leadership conference. Dr. Kol Pheng’s speech will be an inspirational in motivating the youth participants to think of the society and to be good leaders for the world.

The youth leadership conference is for the youth participants to exchange peace concepts. home stay and country’s cultural performance will eliminate prejudice and promote common understanding. The session on teambuilding is when the youth could learn how to build self-confidence and to create team spirit within their own group or the multinational groups. The youth can, later on, strengthen the bond of the relationship they build with other participants, the people they meet in the program and the host family.

The delegate from each country will present the country paper “Youth toward the society.” They will describe about their culture, historical feature, tourist spots, youth role in their own country. The country presentation will help the youth to learn from each other’s country.

The session on “Talk for Young Leader”, all of the youth will share their own potentials on how to be effective leaders and the model for all.

The concept of Host Family is the new system in Cambodia which gives the opportunity to the Cambodian host families to experience different cultures. The foreign delegates will also experience Cambodian lifestyle and Khmer culture from Cambodian families that they stay with.

The participants will have roles as the elder brothers and sisters to the orphans. There will visit the orphanage center. The participants are expected to give love, and care to the orphans. They will serve the orphans and courage them to be positive and struggle for bright future.

The delegates will work more closely within their teammates during the Treasure Hunt Day. They will explore more about the history of Cambodia and some historical sites such as the Royal Palace, National Museum, Toul Sleng, and the Killing field. After finishing their exploring, the participants could reflect on the past in order to determine themselves to make a better society.

It is a golden opportunity to introduce foreign participants to Cambodian culture and tradition, and the Angkor temples. The foreign friends will be good marketers for Cambodia.

IYCCC 2009 will gather young leaders from all around the world to work together as one family for a better society and the world.
